Hello. I have been having some issues with my TTT server for awhile now. Connected players will randomly crash for no apparent reason. The server will not crash or show any errors at the time that they crash, so I'm not really sure what is causing it. It happens to me occasionally while I am playing, so I have several .mdmp files to work with, but I don't have much experience using them to fix stuff. Yea, I have been having this same issue. Do you happen to have a lot of addons running or more specifically a lot of client-oriented addons?
Quite a few addons, yes. Mostly from scriptfodder, but several free ones as well. I figure that it's probably one of my addons, but more than anything, I just need to pinpoint which one it is, and that is very difficult to do, considering how hard it is to replicate the crashes. I have a sinking feeling it may be Pointshop 2 or KMapVote. Do you use either of those addons?
Well, at this moment I use pointshop 2, but Kamshak did a very good job in terms of optimization so it doesnt cause much stress on the client. Do you use ulx and use extra commands? Because I found that deleting a lot of the extra ulx commands reduced a lot of stress on my server. I havent had a crash since I did that.
Yeah, I do use some extra commands. Didn't think they would cause problems, but if it helped you, I'll give it a try. Thanks!
Sorry I forgot to comeback and edit, it only helped, not fix the problem entirely. Im not home this weekend so I cant work on for a little, but ill keep trying things and let you know. My suggestion would be to play a couple games without a lot of your addons, and if that fixes it, youre either gonna have to get a dedicated machine or choose the addons you want to keep.
