What is the difference between the two? Also what is the "^" for?
I don't know what the difference is, but the "^" is a pattern matching modifier which matches to the beginning of a string.
If I recall correctly, fretta_maps determines which maps show up in the Fretta gamemode voting menu.
mappattern determines what maps show up for it in the server creation menu.
