• Just Cause 2 grapple hook + parachute

I know that there are grappling hook mods out there, and that there are also multiple parachute mods, but hear me out. What I want is a grappling hook that behaves *SORT OF* like the one in Just Cause 2. What it COULD operate like: You bind a commmand to a key, and press once to grapple to something, and once more to pull yourself toward it at roughly the speed you do in JC2. If possible, the "attach enemies or things to objects and fling them through the air" feature would also be cool, but I can't think of a way it would work, without having 2 more commands to bind. If you make it a weapon, then it could be: Left click to grapple yourself onto something, right click to pull yourself towards it, and double-left-click to select something (like an NPC), and right click another thing to hurl it towards that. Also, a parachute like the one in JC2 would be AWESOME. All the parachute mods I've found only slow your descent. I would like for there to be a parachute where you can control where it goes like you do in JC2. If someone could make these, that would be insanely fun.
I think spiderman mod let you do something like this (along with running on walls/ceiling which is awesome). Have you tried out the new parachute? Can you control that btw?
We should start making preemptive request threads, because there's one for every new game that's released.
Why do all the threads I make get like, 2 responses and then no one wants to do shit?
Why do all the threads I make get like, 2 responses and then no one wants to do shit?
Maybe because you don't consider whether or not its easily done in Lua or not.
Why do all the threads I make get like, 2 responses and then no one wants to do shit?
Because, we can't be arsed to do anything when people don't actually think how it would be done like flap said....
Maybe even someone hinting at "oh sure, I can work on that" , or even "nope, that would be too hard to do" instead of two comments that don't help, and then nothing.

I'm already working on something like this, well sorta, I'm just extending on that old grapple hook swep.
Cool, post a link to the release when you're done.
I'm mostly just experimenting, and it's probably going to be similar, but on a comical, funny way.
so like the normal rope tool basically?
not really. The normal rope tool doesn't attach you to things, or fling you towards them. But it could work similarly to the winch tool.
