• TF2 weapons, viewmodels have extremely glitchy animations when recording a demo

There. I stopped recording videos of my TF2 gamemode since this happened, and I still have no idea on how to fix that. For some reason, now whenever I want to record a video of my TF2 weapons using Source Recorder, they always have super glitchy animations that usually stop halfway for no apparent reason. Sometimes they will even play properly, but most of the times, they don't. Not sure why I'm posting this here, but since it doesn't happen with HL2 weapons and most SWEPs, I think it might be an issue with my code, but I have no idea which one. And here is the funny part. When I replay the demo without recording it to a file, the animations play just fine. But as soon as I want to record it to a file, bam, viewmodel animations start to do random shit. I think it might have something to do with framerate or something (host_framerate is set to 30 by the way). So yeah, any idea why this is happening? Is this an issue with my code, Garry's Mod itself, or my computer? It's really starting to piss me off, I'd like to record some great Eyelander footage, but the glitchy viewmodels are just completely ruining it.
:wtc:
Only thing I can think of is using Source Recorder to record the demo itself, then using another program, say Xfire, to make it into an upload-able file.

Because for some reason Fraps makes the whole game crash when I use it.
Wired... fraps is working fine for me! Did you try starting fraps after starting gmod?
Ok, I just tried Fraps again. I think it screwed up the last time because the video capture hotkey is F9, and if I remember correctly, F9 is quick load in Source games. It seems to work fine, except the sound, which is abnormally fucking high. I mean, it's so high that even with the minimum volume set on my headphones, it's still worse than a youtube poop at full volume.

If so, lower GMods specific volume.
Use the volume command :science:
I use wegame. It doesn't lag but it also doesn't have top quality (even for HD) but it's nice.
Use the volume command :science:
cocks, that's not how it works. :v: Got Fraps to work properly, because apparently I have a shit sound card and had to mess with stereo mix or something like that. Doesn't seem to be as smooth as Source Recorder, but it's not bad at all.

You get huge files ( but you can use a program like VirtualDub to drop every second frame to get down to 30 ). Strangely enough, it actually peforms better that way rather than recording at 30. Your mileage may vary, of course. If you already are, just ignore this post.
