Fretta Gamemode With Regular Lua? If that even makes sense...

So I've been working on a regular gamemode based off sandbox, but I was wondering if I started all over and used fretta, would I be able to use the lua I use in a regular gamemode? I'm having trouble explaining what I mean but hopefully you understand.

Well the Lua is the same, it's just that Fretta has none of the Sandbox hooks or functions.
