New Survival RP - Developers

Hello I am currently developing a new gmod survival for my clan, and since I have virtually no experience in lua I was looking for some help. I really like the perp hud, and was able to grab the materials and the panel codes. All I need help with is integrating it with gmod survival. More specifically, instead of the crapily drawn bars for your stats, I would like to use the perp 2 textures, and make everything more cosmetically pleasing. Any help is appreciated.

Look, pal, first off all: don't steal code or materials from other gamemodes, it's just generally a bad idea. Secondly: don't start developing a big RP gamemode project before you're actually good at lua, or else it'll either turn out crappy or you'll end up stealing a bunch of code for it. Turn to the wiki and read up a bit: [url]http://wiki.garrysmod.com/?title=Lua[/url] Look at other smaller scripts and learn from them, try to understand the code then rewrite it. Writing stuff down from the wiki a few times can actually be a good idea, since your brain will record what you've written, and therefor you'll be able to use it later on without the wiki. Yes, you came here saying that you wanted people to tell you how to create a gamemode since you have no Lua experience, yet you expect to be able to complete a gamemode from scratch magically. I did help you out, not by telling you what code to write, but by telling you how to get started with Lua and manage to work this out. If this was a request on the other hand, then this was posted in the wrong place.

I wonder what it is about coding that makes people believe they can simply raise entire games from the ground up in a matter of minutes with no background in programming. "Say, I've always wanted to build a nuclear generator. I'm sure if I can just buy some plutonium and ask for help from nuclear scientists it'll work great!"

virtually no does not mean none, it means not enough to do anything much. For all you people who think i wanna make a new gamemode from scratch your just dumb. it clearly says add the perp hud textures to the gms hud instead of using drawn bars.
