I have been downloading lots of addons from the workshop, trying them out to see if I like them, and unsubscribing from the ones I don't like.
I recently noticed that my free hard drive space had taken an unexplained drop, so I investigated and found that addons I had unsubscribed from months ago were still in my addons folder despite being removed from the addons list ingame.
Why are addons not uninstalling correctly, and is there a workaround?
Any help would be appreciated.
You can just delete the file; it won't break things. Don't know why it does that so somebody else answers that. I was wondering as well.

I've deleted a few, but some have really bizarre filenames making it hard to tell which addons they are.
Thanks for the help though!
I was able to find a solution to the problem myself, I simply deleted all of my addons and let steam redownload the ones I was subscribed to.
Hopefully this helps anyone else with same problem!
