For alot of time i have tryed lua coding and i couldent find any guids ( Gmod wiki guids lead you no where in the end) so it that fucking easy?! how did you learn it ?! is there a fucking guide that i dont know about?! now im a bordingschool although i can give atleast one hour a day to learn it + plus i got a 2 week holyday. Please anyone on this earth help me learn this fucking laungage.. cause i really want to know it ( I know i know if i have wanted to learn it i would have already done it) its not that easy, every time i try to learn it, i complete the gmod wiki guides even the very annoying boring basic once and well im getting very lost from there. im learning Java in shcool atm and its getting pretty easy to understand the general lua but i need gmod lua anyone eh any suggestions or please help. ANY HELP.
My suggestion: Stay motivated, have a goal, follow it. There isn't a guide in the whole internet that can teach you how to code any language. The only thing that can teach you how to code is yourself. Don't depend on anyone or any guide, just takes time and practice but everything else helps.
but every time i try to i just get lost, i dont even know how to start D:
just look at other peoples code and try to understand what's doing what
Well i found some decent videos and i guess ill try to code up :| but im just woundering what will ill do till ill reach to the end of the series.
tl, dr. you're probably fourteen years old with some bad spelling problems and a huge itch to code. Although, i was that also only a little while ago. I suggest that you start modifying other people's scripts to learn how they work. That's how i learned most of my stuff. Read other people's stuff like a book, also. Look up things on the wiki you dont understand until you can say exactly what every line does.
My spelling is that bad -_- well lol, yeah im not from America, but well i try my best well yeah im kind of learning Eclipse in school i understand a little more now in general lua but thanks anyway ill do that i just found some guy that explains great stuff http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9VOifegBZo&feature=relmfu yeah i hope it helps but i guess when im done with his videos ill have a little more experience so yeah thanks for the advice guys kind of cheered me up :)

Well it helps to have at least one programming language under your belt so you can understand logic because a lot of programming is abstract. It also helps you identify structures and common algorithms. The basis of most lua and the heartbeat of most useful scripts is the table and for/for in pairs loop. My door is always open for questions granted i might not always have the best or right answer. http://steamcommunity.com/id/ludicium/

Like 2 months ago you said you only modify other scripts, now you act like you are a lua god. You didn't even read his post. Also you don't have to harass someone, if you did a thread exactly like that just with better spelling the ironic thing is that you are american that means it would be a shame if you couldn't. @Sector2 Garrysmod lua basically is like the normal one ( That's why the section is called L.U.A Scripting ). You should just try to code the "normal" one since garrysmod's interpretation just has more functions and few syntax additions from other programming languages. If I would be you, I wouldn't bother with Lua yet since it's not really good if you learn two languages at once, you could get things confused.
