I would like to add SNPCs to my DarkRP server. I played a PERP before and I really liked the NPCs like the ones that sell cars, and there was one that sold seeds for pot plants.

But it looks like its just a merchant, I want to learn how to make my own custom NPCs so I may take a look at PERPs stuff but I don't really want to rip everything from it...any advice?
They aren't snpcs.
It's basically just an entity set to open a derma menu or something similar when you press e on it.
You would require a custom inventory/pocket system or extensive editing to the current pocket to get it to work right. There aren't any released addons that work but you could hire someone to code it for you.
Alright that sucks, I'm interested in learning LUA, and I guess that Derma is the menu system?
Anyway, I'll probably just see if I could hire someone to develop it for me.

Don't waste your money on what you can do yourself easily. Maybe not too easily but Derma isn't that hard. Go [url=http://maurits.tv/data/garrysmod/wiki/wiki.garrysmod.com/index7853.html]here[/url] and you can learn exactly how to make what your looking for. If you need help just come back here and ask for it. Look at some of the derma stuff in the old wiki since it provides way more information. They're all under tutorials.

Hey thanks for the reply! I actually already checked that out, and what I got from it is basically we are creating an entity that has a player model like an NPC, and just acts as an NPC with AI and does not move, get hit, disappear. Then I guess that when you press e on it (use), then the Derma menu will pop up and it will take care of the rest.
I REALLY WANT TO MAKE THIS, BUT I HAVE ONE CONFUSION.

I want to establish an NPC that serves mainly as a vendor, who sells drugs, guns, etc.
Problem is, I don't know how to make the NPC spawn in a certain position with vector, and it doesn't tell me how in that in [URL="http://maurits.tv/data/garrysmod/wiki/wiki.garrysmod.com/index7853.html"]this[/URL] tutorial.

I'm making a observation that your code sucks ( See other thread ), and facepunch could use one less useless thread about an idea you ripped from the infamous perp.
As for my name, it's just a name followed by a adjective with the word 'The' in the middle. Plus it sounds catchy and is easy to remember.
I'm also very sad you're taking the Internet so personally, I thought the 10 year old Internet population had more sense than that.
