SRCDS is a 32 bit process; What that means is that it can only use 4gb of any amount of ram.
First, open up your shell terminal, or VNC client if you control your box that way. Then use Lynx or another browser to go to www.downloadmoreram.com Follow the site's instructions and you're good to go
Do you have shell access?
Do you have shell access?
Ok, Lets say if the server is "Self-Hosted" which is kind of like RDP (Dedicated computer{8GB}) For example.
How about this, How to make the server 64bit?
You recompile the server from source code targeting x64.

What are you running to make SRCDS use 4GB+ of RAM?
Do you know how I can run two servers on individual cores? Debian
Set the affinity of the processors. However even though the server isn't "multi-core" compatible, lower-end hardware/firmware processes things quicker for applications when the affinity is more than one. If you have a quad, set each to use 2.

If it's windows, check this out: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/827754/how-to-set-processor-affinity-from-batch-file-for-windows-xp Basically start /affinity 2 srcds.exe ----rest of arguments for srcds.exe ...
Earlier in the thread I said that I host my server on debian, but thank you for the link.
Here's one for Debian: http://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/setting-processor-affinity-certain-task-or-process.html
