Hey, guys, I have been trying to learn gmod Lua for a while , I have tried studying code , video guides and gmod wiki guides but nothing has worked . I am just wondering if there are any people who will be willing to help me learn or just give me some advice.
Thanks

This is not gmod section
Ok then could a Staff member please move this to the right section
Learn basic Lua WITHOUT Gmod before you learn Gmod Lua.
Also, if you're looking for help, don't post your steam ID and expect anyone to message you to help you. You have to come here and ask questions. Adding you on steam to do a one on one is too much effort for a stranger on the internet

Not strictly true i learned glua before lua (i knew html+js before) and it got me into coding lots of different languages (list https://rtm516.co.uk/about)
Same here,i want to contribute, but i dont think my teenage brain can comprehend
Maybe i start when i got older

Well... if you have 0% programming experience, I'd say learning Lua without the "g" would be a good start. But as you already knew a thing or two about programming, you probably didn't have to study too much Lua before you could jump in to Glua.
Same for me. Java --> Glua
Learn core programming concepts and the ability to think logically

I felt like that for ages until I went away from Lua for a while and then a few weeks later I went back to fix one of my older addons, and I realized how simple it really was and how stupid I was before
I guess my advice to the OP would be to start by doing basic stuff (I started by accidentally being addicted to making .bat files that do stupid garbage)
Learn off other people's code, edit stuff, copy stuff (only if it benefits your knowledge/educational purposes)
Please do learn basic Lua before doing the above, if you want, I'll be more than willing to teach you.
Can you please teach then because I try to learn but there are no good guides and I only know print("//whatever"), io.read() and if var == //whatever then. Thanks

Yeah, that was a problem for me as well. Have you tried going through some of this stuff on the wiki? There's a few pages about different stuff that may or may not be helpful

Same.
When i was 9 years,i was very excited to do a programming. Now my programming spirit is extinguished when i step at 12 years, only the ashes of former passion remain in me until now.
I Did offer to help but you ignored my comment and wouldn't add me :P
