Okey so Im running a custom version of Prop Hunt but I want it to appear under the original Prop Hunts category in the server browser, is this possible?
I tried renaming the gamemode within shared.lua and the textfile but it only created a secondary category, rather than using the original...
I want this because nobody will ever find my server if its sitting at the bottom of the list dispite being basically the same gamemode but with improvements.
You cannot just rename a gamemode when they have the same name in a category; that comes down to contents. Also, that's misleading players on which Prop Hunt they are playing.
Its not missleading if I include it in the server name. I dont want to deceive people into coming on my servers unwillingly, I just want them to know it exists so they can decide for themselves. At the moment they just dont even know its there unless they magically happen to stumble in the right category.
And any advertising Ive tried to do seemed to attract only server admins asking me to give my configurations to them...
Oh well, I guess I just have to give it some more time. At least I have a handful of regular players so maybe in a few months I have a decent playerbase.
Make sure the gamemode folder itself is the same name as the normal one
