Hey this is a dumb question I guess but, I'm trying to do a FastDL for my Gmod DarkRP server. I am hosting with x10hosting and have some files added through filezilla to the web host. Now question do I have to upload all the gmod server files, or just ones I want to be FastDL. Another few questions, will I be able to do a FastDL without a game server control panel, because, i cant find a free one for windows. x10 comes with c panel X but not WHM so i cant get cpgs so I'm looking for something else. Last question, when I put files through onto the ftp to the web host do i delete it from my computer?? Please help, It would be much appreciated, I'm trying to make my server good, I just opened it up and am new to some of this stuff.

here is my current fastdl as an example

so the rp server would be in the config
sv_downloadurl "http://27.124.120.41/~monument/rp/garrysmod/"
everything in the fuckdoingitmanually.php goes into lua/autorun/server/addresource.lua
thats all you need to do

Im sorry im stupid but, the only thing I don't get is the addresource, what do i put in there and how do i get that addresource file do I have to make it? Sorry, thanks for all the help so far man appreciate it

that's exactly what your addresource.lua file should have in it (obviously your files will be different)
you'll probably have to do it manually, we made a quick script in php to do it automatically for us ;p but yeah you should get the idea by looking at it
so if your fastdl only consisted of the darkrp skin, it would just have in the file "resource.AddFile("materials/darkrp/DarkRPSkin.png");"
Oh so everything that I put in the Host over FTP i put on addresource
