My fastdl is having issues. I believe it downloaded everything correctly. But the only problem is it isn't working. One of the tons of models I saw worked, but nothing else did. That model was checkered also. I don't know if it's an issue with spaces with resource.AddFile("the/material/[B]is here[/B]/!.vtf"). This is my downloads.lua in lua/autorun/server. remove the http:// from your sv_downloadurl it caused problems for me because i think it's interpreted as a comment
