So not sure if its the gamemode itself or what but for some reason it seems like there is be lag/rubber-banding when our server gets over 24 people on there (we had it set to max of 30 but put it down to 24 for now).
Server Specs:
3.5GHz Quad-Core E5-1620 v3 Haswell Xeon
32GB Ram
600GB Intel S3500 SSD
500Mbps Unmetered Bandwidth
Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard
I have the Hide and Seek server running as a Windows service via FireDaemon with the following...
Parameters:
-console -game garrysmod -maxplayers 24 -port 27016 +ip 162.254.149.151 +map zs_cheap_hotel_v2 +log on -tickrate 33 +fps_max 300 +servercfgfile "server.cfg" +gamemode hideandseek -secure
Process Priority:
High (time-critical tasks)
Nothing fancy in the server.cfg
I have noticed a lot of other Hide and Seek servers don't go any higher than 20-24 (a few at 30 but those have been private).
We have quite the active HnS server (possibly the top or one of the top HnS servers) and I'd like to fix this to but our max slots to 30 if possible instead of just making 2x 24 slot HnS servers.
So for being long winded on this but yea if you have any insight for me or can help solve this I would greatly appreciate it!

Hey (creator here)
I think the server specs are fine - it is definitely the gamemode. It's so messy and most network things are poorly done. It was something I made while I was still learning most of Lua, and I just haven't gone back to redo anything...
I'm gonna have to go through pretty much all of Hide and Seek and fix everything. Thanks for reminding me to redo H&S, I don't know when that will be done though. :v:
And sorry about not responding to any workshop comments, Steam doesn't notify me about comments on it anymore and I kinda forgot about it...

I really appreciate the response and look forward to what you can do!
