Looking for a very SIMPLE tutorial to get me started...

Hello! Now first off, I want to apologize in advance if I'm doing this in the wrong discussion--I wasn't sure if I should do this in the game discussion or the Developer discussion area so..
Anyways, for a very long time now --ever since I got Gmod as a gift, heck, even BEFORE that, I've wanted to create a single custom player model to use when I play Gmod.
I've done a lot of searching on tutorials and the such but, each one has ended in a dead end for me, or nothing but frustration--or it's not exactly what I'm looking for...
Anyways, I'll get to the point! I just want [B]four things[/B]:
[I]-A simple female and Male model that I can start off with.
-A clear, readable and easy Tutorial for a beginner for modeling custom characters for Garry's Mod.
-A list or recommendation for what sort of programs should be used to customized/reshape models
-Along with the tutorial, I'd also like instructions on how to upload said finished model correctly to Gmod to use.[/I]
Anyways, I was directed to facepunch by a friend because they said this would be the best place to ask, and that paying for a custom model should be a complete LAST resort.
