We apologise in advance for this being our first post under this account.
However, We would like to introduce to you 'ScriptBuckit', A multi-platform games content marketplace.
ScriptBuckit allows Developers to make their own customised content available for purchase.
You are able to create an advert free of charge, displaying a description, banners, screenshots and your price.
Your advert will be displayed in our Mods and Scripts section and will be available for purchase once verified non-detrimental.
With our automated download system, ScriptBuckit offers a friendly, Secure environment to make transactions a pleasurable experience.
Unlike what may appear to be similar marketplaces, ScriptBuckit doesn't charge developers a monthly subscription to advertise.
We believe this is a bad marketing technique which has often led to developers reducing script prices in order cover monthly fees.
At ScriptBuckit, You are charged a 5% fee in relation to every sale made; if you don't sell any content, you don't pay anything.
Not only are you able to submit your content, you are also able to create a job for other developers looking for work.
Our job system allows Client to Developer interaction featuring a web based chat with file upload features.
The client creates their job, including a description; specifying their budget and allocated time-frame.
Developers are able to view your job advertisement in the jobs section and if they are interested they can make a proposal.
Inside a proposal the developer is to respond with a message to the client.
This should include the developers counter offer price and estimated time frame to complete the work.
Once the developer has completed the job, they should provide protographic or in-game evidence to their client.
If the client is happy with the proposed product, the developer is to upload the completed product and
the client has to make a payment to the developer in order for the final product to be released.
The developers ScriptBuckit account balance will be debited a fixed 5% fee in relation to the final agreed job price.
ScriptBuckit features a forum for members, Sections include Official Announcements, Suggestions, General and Scripting Discussion.
If you have a problem with your experience at ScriptBuckit we have a responsive in-house ticket system with an experienced
technical support team to resolve any issues regarding ScriptBuckit, any of its services or members.
If you are concerned about your contents whereabouts or you are fan of statistics, we have an API to keep track of things.
Our API allows Developers to call and post information such as server IP Address, Port and Host Name.

(User was permabanned for this post ("joined just to advertise" - OvB))
tl;dr
But is this for all languagaes, if so, why are you posting it in the Garry's Mod Developers Discussion?
If its for gLua, your wasting your time because of ScriptFodder. I aslo probably wouldnt trust you aswell since you only have 1 post.
[sp] Aslo, the website looks ugly. [/sp]
Ah fuck thought it was going to be something for bitbucket well good job anyways.
Your account balance is used when someone purchases your script/mod or you complete a job at ScriptBuckit, Your balance will then go into negative value $-0.50 for example.
Huh? Regardless, it appears we have to trust you with money to use your service. Who are you?
New account just to create a thread advertising a website? Seems a little fishy imo. Not saying it isn't legit or anything, but looking at the FAQ, the one(s) in charge of the website already seems to have a Facepunch account, can't see why you couldn't make the thread on it.
Do you have a terms and conditions, the link at the bottom seems to go nowhere.
New account just to create a thread advertising a website? Seems a little fishy imo.
Author, I can't believe you would try to kill the thread instantly after we refused you adminstration permissions on our site, quite childish on your behalf to be honest.
Do you have a terms and conditions, the link at the bottom seems to go nowhere.
Thanks for the note, We are working on it now.
Huh? Regardless, it appears we have to trust you with money to use your service. Who are you?
All transactions are done through PayPal, Your account will have an outstanding balance calculated upon total sales made, This is to be cleared with a PayPal payment process.
Users still are required to trust you with money if you're keeping a 'balance' on your website. Two apparently unknown people in the community.
Author, I can't believe you would try to kill the thread instantly after we refused you adminstration permissions on our site, quite childish on your behalf to be honest.
Its not childish, this is sketchy as fuck because its a brand new account, nobody knows you, and you want us to trust you with our scripts and money. You are killing your own thread
We who?
Agreed, terms and conditions has
"The Company", “Ourselves”, “We” and "Us", refers to our Company.

refers to our Company.
What Company?
[editline]7th March 2015[/editline]
Also 5% fee, no thanks.
And the Twitter, Youtube, G+ links go nowhere (at least with JS disabled they don't)
Agreed, terms and conditions has
What Company?
Hello, It's Shaun (Nitrophysix) these terms and conditions have been copied as a template from my website "CreativeMiles.co.uk" I'm a self employed web developer, they still need to be rectified to fit the purpose of ScriptBuckit, please be patient.
I understand that some of you are "skeptical" about the website, well, It was either wait 6 years to build up a post count or post this topic now.
I developed this website from scratch originally aiming at Garrys Mod, however there may be some of you on here that may build for other games also so why not include more.
In relation to the "money"
Your balance represents items sold, if you sell items we take 5% of each sale, this is then appended to your balance as is, you then make a payment via payment which will clear your balance.
This is simply an idea nothing more nothing less.

You absolutely should not be dealing with any sort of payments without any kind of proper business information up there.
And yeah its generic and sketchy as can be. If you are only dealing with payPal I dunno why you have all those other payment icons on there.
At least get the website accurate before you ask people to trust you with money.
[editline]7th March 2015[/editline]
I know you said it's just a copy and paste but at least proof read it please.
Availability
Unless otherwise stated, the services featured on this website are only available within the United Kingdom, or in relation to postings from the United Kingdom.
I feel like paying 5% a fee both have cons and pros, and in my opinion, I find paying a preferred amount of a subscription a better alternative than paying a fee. I wouldn't buy a developer(?) subscription unless I knew I would earn something on it, but then again, if I am going to release a script, I'm going to be confident and hope for as many sales as possible. Where as the more sales you get the less you earn. Seems like something I wouldn't really want to go for if it was up to me. However, I can see that you spent a lot of time creating this website from scratch, and while it does seem a little strange how you come advertising a website where as we give out our PayPal credentials, still doesn't make the web site itself bad, but makes the advertisement look a bit sketchy, not saying it is. It's like a survey shitting at you for not trusting it, and not giving good feedback to it.

1) As this is not yet a registered business, we are not required to place any information about the business HOWEVER, we have done so in the terms and conditions.
2) The logo and icons representing payments are actually what PayPal support, these are the payment methods that can be used with PayPal.
3) All payments are processed through PayPal, It's very easy for me to process card information directly in the website, BUT because of the "trust" and online security, PayPal was and is the safest payment method available on the internet today.

[del]You arent going to win points saying that[/del] You will get 1 point from OP for saying that. Everyone here has made valid points. Yes, its useful for people who want to sell their scripts but people are arguing against it for the same reason that if someone you dont know came to your house and said "Do you want to make money selling things? Just give your items to me and I'll sell them for you.", you would be at least a bit suspicious unless you are a moron. The website is also incomplete and this thread is also posted in the wrong section since its not Garry's Mod specific.

The website is fully function with a few minor glitches, please forgive me for not coding faster, It takes time :)
This is the internet, there is no such thing as trusted, I've simply made a place originally aimed at Garrys Mod for people to come along and enjoy.
If you did not know me before, you know me now *Shakes Hands* I'm Shaun
You shouldn't advertise your website like it's up and ready when in reality you still have a lot to do. A simple disclaimer at the top of your post, saying something to the likes of "This website is nearing completion but is not yet ready. Please be patient and report any issues that you see, thank you!" would have made a world of difference.
I don't really see this going anywhere, at least not on the Facepunch forum.
It already took long enough to get everyone to use ScriptFodder.
Very few people even use CoderFlow.
And, seeing how you didn't even use your main Facepunch account to make this thread (do you even have one? is this your first time using facepunch?), I don't think very many people are going to use this for Garry's Mod either.
This thread just popped up out of nowhere with no real information - why is this any better than ScriptFodder? Just because it supports other games? How do we know this is such a "friendly, secure environment"?
Also, as the others have said, what is up with this footer?

Not only is it abnormally huge, but as said before - the images in the bottom right mean absolutely nothing and the social ones don't even function properly.
Another thing, why is this games list so huge when only like 5% of those games can even be modded.
Might as well put Bad Rats on the list while you're at it.
Remember how Adam originally made an account just for CoderHire? Remember how the first CoderHire thread turned out?
You released the site like it's a finished project without bugs, but it's not. I know I sound like I'm bashing on the website but it seems a bit silly. A lot of reactions to this thread are going to be "what and who is this". Nonetheless, good luck I guess.
100% agreed with jackool. I'm not saying give up and never work on it again. Post in WebDev next time, get some rep and feedback on the website, and dont target an audience that already has something virtually the same. I also dont really want to say this because you said you coded this from scratch, but the entire website feels like a template someone made with joomla or something. The website doesnt even let me login with OpenID or anything so I either have to make an account specifically for your website or use Steam to login.

I for one trust PayPal and Valve with my credentials, however, I dont trust you or your website with some scrap code. Introducing yourself is not the same as people knowing you and no I'm not joking. Noone knows who you are, you just pop out of nowhere and expect people to trust your website.

Excellent Feedback! I'm working on the website as we speak, fixing issues here and there, the footer is just part of the design :)
The question regarding ScriptFodder... why is it better... well we won't tell you to f*off or go away when you need help? You can see the owners comments to his customers here: http://steamcommunity.com/id/handsome-matt
Your all more than welcome to add me on skype and have a good chat, I'm a genuine person and have just created something that's for everyone.
The website is housed on a dedicated rack, I have over 7 years experience with PHP,MYSQL,CSS,HTML not to mention a little background in .NET, I also maintain networks and computers for my clients.
I'm not pointing fingers or saying anything, I'm saying it's here if anyone would like to make use of it :)
The games list is a little huge, I figured at the time, get everything that way I ain't missed anything, thanks for looking though :)
Take Care
Shaun

Hi Buddy
Not at all, this has defiantly been coded from scratch, been doing this from a young age :)
"with some scrap code" - a little bit enthusiastic there buddy
This is a bit stalkering but you dont even know anyone from Facepunch on Steam. You are friends with some guy who added me (Cur7@Work) which I might add this link: relevant.
Just a side note, I love the fact someone has attempted SQL Injection and Cross Site Scripting, you may want to read the following:
"I have over 7 years experience with PHP,MYSQL,CSS,HTML"
Thanks for testing the security though! :)

Ah, you mean '");test? Yeah, I went through a couple things.
Just because you have 7 years of experience doesn't mean you'd never miss anything ;)

edit2: Holy butt, even a mobile game is listed here.

Ohh! That's not good! Yes, I found a massive list of games, used a little bit of programming to sort the list, it seems it missed a few things!

Yeah, sure...you might wanna re-do that list so it actually features games that can be modded.
If you actually want to get business, you should at least put more effort into it.
