• Invalid Sample Rates?

Okay, I tried changing some sounds on a swep pack that I like, and it keeps telling me this: "Invalid sample rate (48000) for sound 'fc3\weapons\magnum\44m-1.wav'." So I tried lowering the sample rate, but it doesn't seem to work unless I lower it so much that is just sounds like complete trash. I saw that somebody said that source works with 48k 16bit .wav files, so I tried that but again, it didn't work. Can anybody help? EDIT: 32000 doesn't work either. The rest of my sounds are high quality and seem even higher quality than 32000 but they work fine, i'm kinda stumped here.
44.1kHz I think is standard in HL2 (Thanks Robot)

22050hz will work too
22050hz will work too
Ah, but that is so noticeable compared to the rest of the sounds... Wish there was just a cure all feature for this..
