Hey guys,
I know theres a million of these posts but much of them are unclear to me,
I'm trying to edit in the code so that everyone can see if something is out of character, a advert or things such as that.
Currently the functionality works so everybody can hear it for OOC and for Advert but there is no way to tell if it is OOC as there are no prefixes setup to identify it.
Here's an example:
I type /ooc test and this appears:
[Superadmin] Seany: Test
I type /advert test123 and this appears:
[Superadmin] Seany: test123
My aim from what hopefully you guys can help me with is to have it like this:
[Superadmin] [OOC] Seany: Test
[Superadmin [AD] Seany: test123
This is just to make things more clean and understandable.
My server also has the /pm function which also isn't labelled as a pm but has the functionality, so it will just appear as a regular message and theres no way to identify if it was local or a direct message to you :[
Thanks in advance for any help, also if someone assists with providing code, can you identify the locations of the files/folders; i'm a huge noob at this stuff i'm really sorry!
Simply don't add chat tags, there's no need to clutter the chat box with useless shit.

I'd rather have the OOC/Advert tags, As we're trying to make a semi-serious roleplay server. I dislike the admin ones as I don't like being labelled as a higher up, but the OOC/Advert ones are entirely nessecary for what we have planned. That way if somebody needs help from staff he can simply request in the OOC chat, rather than ruining the immersion of other peoples roleplay experience.
-snip- I'm a idiot and did not interpret your post properly.
Wait, do you not want the admin tags, just the rp ones?

Both would be nice, the RP ones are essential but the admins one are not. I guess it's good to be recognized as a staff member though so i'd say just keep both.
-edit-
obviously normal players/users won't have the admins tags anyways so it would just apply as:
[OOC] Seany: Need help!
[Advert] Seany: Looking for a good time, visit the night club!
Did you make the Admin Prefixes?
[QUOTE=Borris_Squad;50696940]Did you make the Admin Prefixes?[/QUOTE]
I had someone who developed for me do them but he's away for a while, so all the codes that need changing i've been doing. I've had to restructure alot of the code he did for the ideas me and my friend have been working on. The only things left to add is this system with the prefixes [OOC] / [Advert] and white listing system which i'm trying to figure out as well.
go buy atags on sf they work good.

thats not what im looking for. The OOC functions are already there they just need to be slightly scripted in.
