So I have this Gmod DarkRP server where everyone starts out with 25k cash and I need a way of pricing things on the server. For example: my guns. I've listed out what guns I want to be the cheapest and which ones I want to be the most expensive and for each job which is only two; Light Arms Dealer and Heavy Arms Dealer. Guns: Heavy Arms Dealer: Serbu Shotty: 96 Dmg - 120 DPS M3 Super: 108 Dmg - 154 DPS VSS Vintorez: 31 Dmg - 310 DPS L85A2: 30 Dmg - 326 DPS G36C: 28 Dmg - 350 DPS G3A3: 42 Dmg - 350 DPS AK-47: 33 Dmg - 358 DPS ScarH: 40 Dmg - 417 DPS AR-15: 28 Dmg - 420 DPS M14: 42 Dmg - 525 DPS M249: 28 Dmg - 373 DPS Light Arms Dealer: PM: 18 Dmg FN-57: 20 Dmg P99: 21 Dmg M1911: 25 Dmg MR96: 50 Dmg Desert Eagle: 65 Dmg UMP: 23 Dmg - 230 DPS MP5: 20 Dmg - 267 DPS MAC-11: 17 Dmg - 340 DPS Sorry if this seems like much and sorry if it's in the wrong thread, it just seems that no one is helping me with this. I wanna make it to where people can't buy TOO many guns and get money easily for it. I want people to be going to Gun Dealers more often so they have a reason to be on the job. etc etc.
It depends on the server. People complain about the default gun prices in DarkRP being too cheap, mainly because DarkRP is a non-serious gamemode. Serious gamemodes like Santos RP have higher gun prices, and having a gun is a big deal (Much like real life in countries other than the US)

I have a server which I don't want them to be too cheap, but I don't want them to be too expensive not to buy any when you first come on. But I also don't want them to be able to afford tons of shipments until later in their game.
Well first off. I'll just say that i feel like theres too many variants. Start with what you define each class and have a gun that best represents that class and then branch off from there. E.G. Rifles: Ak74 High Damage Medium Rate of Fire High Recoil

For the Shotguns it would be the M3 Super, then Sub Machine Guns would be the MP5 and so on, right?
Make a base price for the weakest gun in each category: rifle,shotgun, whatever,... Then from there go up and up and up
