• Map is not a valid BSP, Cant load non sandbox map on RP Server

So I changed the map on my RP server for an event, and the server crashed. Then, the server crashed. So, I tried to reboot the server 2 hours later, and it wouldn't load any of my RP maps. I have them in the maps folder. I am running my server off a host (Nitrous Networks). CModelLoader::Map_IsValid: 'maps/rp_stardestroyer_v1.bsp' is not a valid BSP file map load failed: rp_stardestroyer_v1 not found or invalid Changing gamemode to StarwarsRP (starwarsrp) WARNING: Port 27005 was unavailable - bound to port 27006 instead Network: IP 131.153.25.14, mode MP, dedicated Yes, ports 27035 SV / 27006 CL Can anyone tell me how to fix this? The server works when I load it on gm_flatgrass, but not on rp_stardestroyer_v1.
Do you actually have the map file on the server? Are you using rp_stardestroyer_v1 as the map name or maps/rp_stardestroyer_v1.bsp?

I think the best way to tackle this would be to do the following: 1. Download GMAD (www.moddb.com/mods/garrys-mod/downloads/gmad-easy-addon-extractor) 2. Make sure you have subscribed to the rp_stardestroyer_v1 addon in the workshop 3. Go to your computers Gmod addons folder (C:\x86\steam\steamapps\common\garrysmod\garrysmod\addons) 4. Search for the map .gma file in your addons (most likely search for stardestroyer) 5. Copy and paste that file into the same location that your GMAD extractor application is 6. Open GMAD extractor, click on "convert a single file" and then select the correct .gma file 7. Upload this addon to your server, the addons directory and also the map files (such as .bsp) going into the garrysmod/maps directory When you have done this make sure that your custom command line is pointing to the correct map in the folder and then finally... make sure the correct command line is selected (i have done this in the past xD) Restart your server and it should be working. If not then please post again with any errors you get etc... or if you have any questions ask away :)
To me that sounds like you may have the wrong .bsp file.
I agree that the file might have become corrupted. Maybe your host has a bad hard drive or messed up file permissions. Either way try redownloading the map and reuploading it. Instead of following these steps you can use my workshop downloader tool to download the workshop addon instead; it's much faster.
