Basically, I'm trying to test code in Garry's Mod, but I'm not sure what the best way to go about doing so. Should I start a singleplayer game and test the code within my client or host a local server and test my code with it?
I'll mainly be coding things for DarkRP. I won't be getting into networking as much to begin with (I will, however, be running ulib, ulx, darkrp, darkrpmodification, etc.).
Also, if I'm successful with my attempts, I'm thinking about transitioning to a paid hosting service, but I want to be sure that I'll be able to port all of my scripts to the actual hosted server.
PS - My computer is absolute trash. This is why I'd like to have only Garry's Mod running. However, if it's best to choose the local server [i]route[/i] I'll do so.
Technically, the "best" way would be a srcds hosted server, but from my experience, a client-hosted should be good enough :P
