I want to make a server content or gamemode. Whatever.
I also want to make it surfing, bunnyhopping and rocketjumping with a timer.
I found the addons that I want to take out some lua text stripes/ lines with the functions above and put them into my own/ or create my own custom out of other's. (you know, I need only a simple timer from 1 hud, instead of stealing the WHOLE hud. Only the timer. And I need a whole jumping script that is already published by a random user.
But the thing is, he is not the real author of it, he just copied it from an old forum and published. I noticed no copyright.
The real question could be like "Can I make own custom stuff (or mix things together) made of the other's stuff, make new scripts out of the other's scripts (little bit of this, little bit of that...) - Can I publish it, or i have to give credits to every author for every simple line I took from their scripts/ work.. ?
(another example or wish that didn't came true: I thought many times about making a CS 1.6/ CS:S terrorists vs counter-terrorists gamemode using default CS:S maps and M9K weapons, simply because I love gmod more than anything else. So again. Am I allowed to to so? What about permission, publishing and credits?)
