Hey.
So recently I've been having problems with hit boxes in player models. Every single playermodel I upload to my server and put into the pointshop (or even not in the pointshop), all have absolutely rubbish hitboxes. I've even taken playermodels from the workshop which explicitly say: FIXED/PERFECT Hitboxes. I've asked others, and it seems that hitboxes are fine for them... I use Excl's Jailbreak 7 for my gamemode.
This is the process that I go through when putting player models on my server:
1. Find a player model on the Garry's Mod Steam Workshop
2. Subscribe it.
3. Take the .gma file from my addons and extract it using gmad (I use the OS X version since I use a Mac, ik I'm an apple skrub)
4. Upload the player model to the server, all the materials, models and lua files.
5. Take the player_manager thing that ends with the .mdl and place it in the pointshop item file in the necessary place. OR I don't put it in the pointshop and just test it out by setting my player model to that model in game.
Every time, no matter what player model, its always crap. Is it something with the gamemode that's wrong? Something about the way i extract it or upload it? Do I need an additional file for my server to fix all the hitboxes or something?
Thanks for taking the time to read through this :) I'd really appreciate some help! Thanks!
How do you know the hitboxes are bad? Does this happen in sandbox?

Sorry for the late reply mate. I have not tested the hitboxes in sandbox, on in the Jailbreak server. I know they are bad because I shoot somewhere which is obviously not the player model's body, like a metre away from the body, and the player will take damage. It's not accurate and it just seems as if the hitboxes are much too huge. Should I test them in sandbox?
Yes and test with default HL2 weapons as well.

Ok, will do :) Though just wondering, if they do work on Sandbox with HL2 weapons, I'm guessing this is a problem with the gamemode or my server? And also, do NPC's and PM's share the same hitboxes (so could i just test on NPCs)?
They do not, they use different models. You can test with bots.
Ok, so I went on a single player Sandbox mode and spawned in a bot, set is model to a couple of different PMs. Some were perfect, though some were rubbish, it just depended on the model, though I think some were better than on the JB server. What next?
