Hello. I planned along time ago a huge project, that´s ready to start well. it will be a whole Batman Movie. A fanmade Film by useing SFM with a real cool story and alot of darkknight action. When it be finished I will contact DC-Comics and get their okay for upload and share it in public. But why do I telling you this? Well I really want to get it finally startin and need many people who will work with me together on it. I´ve got jobs for you in the following topics: 1. Porting BatmanModels to SFM. models can be found here, I guess http://lab.facepunch.com/search/forum/4 ... %20origins 2. porting different Maps for SFM that could be use for a Batman scenery 3. Acting and Storytelling. In my native language I would say: "I´m open for everyone who likes to join me working on the story 4. Effect 5. Sounds, Music, Audio 6. Manage 7. Camera 8. English AND BETTER Multlanguage translation, Dialoges 9. Other, If you have something else in Mindt. I will offer this even in other communties, cos it will be something big and it will be awesome, something, that we all can proud about. We can show the world how a good film have to look like. If YOU want to join the project in any way you just have to contact me! A message, A comment or a e-mail. (I´ll make a special email-account for the project later and will insert it here) and don´t forget it will be great fun I´m very excited what could become out of this dream!! Perhaps it and the Team will be really famous  Just Imagine friends! Greetings community
So what will be your contribution, mr ideas guy?
So what will be your contribution, mr ideas guy?
And he was never heard of again.
So what will be your contribution, mr ideas guy?
What do mean with constribution? If you mean in what way I will work on it: My part will be in Management, Story and Acting. I work on the theater, so I´ve got on these topics the best use for the project, too sad, that my english isn´t good, so I will for the mean english version consult with the englishActors that´s the plan for now
Lmao show us some of your work or something because right now your are ideas guy. What exactly are you contributing? I mean are you even able to create something with sfm?
of course I can use sfm Combine!!. But Im sure other people with more animation Skills will do better work. I already have got the main storyline and do not like to give tooo many spoilers, but It will be the start of a new dark knight saga and will show a darker rise and his strongest human fight and yeah now do you laugh buddy, but will become to a real cool thing ;P Perhaps you should join the team to get more infomation or you will be on one eye blind till it´s finished ^^
When it be finished I will contact DC-Comics and get their okay for upload and share it in public.
I think it'll be smarter to ask permission beforehand.
Hey, kid, or.. whoever, I think you're vastly underestimating the commitment that goes into something like this. Start off with something really small, make it good. You go for something epic like this with little experience with the tool and the community, the process will CREAM you because you just won't be prepared. Please, just walk away from this for now. Build up your knowledge.

Greetings community
Hey Guy, if you slap me an email I can tell you about what I can do: bellyzgonnagetya@gmail.com If you drop me an email i can talk to you about this project. Where you're at at the moment, dates, screen caps, I can try help the best I can. I hope it'll be good.
@Darkwater: Sure you´re right, but fanfiction is legal, only make it public is, without the agreement of DC, illiegal so I think, if the team have got something good in their hands, than will DC more interessted in useing the Film as kinda promotion or something like that. @Grub: Thank you, that you for your advise, but no worry Im not new in such things, so It will be a long hard way to get it startin, but the product will be more than satisfying :) @rozzachu I´ll send you an e-mail :)
First off and foremost, If you wanted to do something like this and make money off of it you should have gotten the permission first. Thing is they most likely won't give it to you with out any work. Which leads to my second point. Where is your work on this. Besides "I have an idea" we have no information on your level of skill/experience (other then the fact you want to start out on a project blind) A poster, a story board pic with the good bits chopped off, a small animation you set up yourself or anything for that matter would grab someone's attention. I realize you don't have all the assets but even ONE small thing could have convinced people to side with you. At the momment I don't think anyone substantial will join you.
@Doc ock rokc: well It´s a team project and it´s not something I will work alone on. It´s not initiate to make money. It´s a chance to start something big. I´m not responsible for the animation so it doesn´t matter if I´m a known animater in this community. I just try to make this project public here. If a skillfull animater or someoneelse thinks: "Well that´s sounds like a cool project! I want to be part of it and haveing fun" than welcome on board. I can promise, that it will be fun to work in a Team on something big like a Filmproject :)
I doubt anyone here is going to jump right into someone elses' project without payment, even less if the director is entirely unknown in the community. I also doubt you are really aware of how enormous the work behind your idea would be. There is a reason why companies like Disney spend millions to develop those movies and why even the best sfm animators usually have nothing but short clips: good animation is ridiculously complicated. You should listen to Grub: if you want to make big projects like this reality, start small and work yourself up towards it. No director/animator/writer started with their dream blockbuster.
Exactly. Why would experienced SFM animators work with someone completely unproven when they could just do their own ideas? Do you have an amazing script? Have you successfully led projects of this scope and ambition before? How about projects with even a 10th of this scope? Unless you can confidently answer YES to any of these questions and demonstrate it with some kind of proof, then why would anyone invest their time, skill and creativity to make YOU look good, when they could just invest it in themselves? You shouldn't even be thinking about something like this until you have a really good script that's finished or close to being finished. Also I can tell you from experience, showing up in this community and asking for help when no one knows you or your work is going to get you exactly nowhere. To work with a community you need to build trust, you do that by building relationships with people, helping out on other projects first to see how things are done and to get your name out there. Once you've done that, then MAYBE you can slowly start to see if you can get a team together to work on a small project and you build from there. Just showing up out of the blue and asking for other people to essentially do all the work for you.. not going to happen in a million years.
@PalmliX: I understand your point. YES We already have an amazing script! We have a villian, content, a new side of the characters to show, it won´t be a reboot!!!!!! (Ps @all: Please do not think that´s MY project. A team works on it) And YES I had the lead in successful filmProjects. I do such things job-related. But It´s "MY" first animations-film I "HELP" to work on. If you want to hear something about MY personally experience than let me tell you: "I´m good. I know what to do, so you have to trust me and take a deeper look on the project! Perhaps you´ll missing something It´s a project for everyone who wants to make a real film and get his/her Ideas in it. That´s why it´s called Fanmade ;) It will take a long time to work on yes! but when it´s finished it will be something we all can be proud about. If you have got many experience with creating Animations in sfm, Sound or better for NOW you know how to port 3d models and maps to sfm, don´t miss this chance! Join TheBatProject and let´s do something BIG!!! A real exciting Action movie!
And YES I had the lead in successful filmProjects. I do such things job-related.
Got any examples? Keep in mind that the last guy to successfully launch a big community collaborative project on the scale you're proposing could point at this and this as proof that he could Do Things beyond "setting up the wiki" and other such Ideas Man-ery. As things stand, all you have is this topic and not a single post outside of it. We know absolutely nothing about your capabilities or ability to contribute, so we're naturally a little wary.
That's a lot of work for a "My parents are dead" joke
You do realize this is not a job that anyone will ever do for free, right? [editline]27th January 2014[/editline] People will expect you to pay for these services, you know. [editline]27th January 2014[/editline] And I don't mean "a game or two on Steam", I mean proper monthly salary that you can live on to pay expenses and food. That is if you hope to have this thing released anytime within the next century. Because if you don't, nobody will have the time or will to do something like this.
You see kid....or whoever you are, but judging by your ambition you're a kid (it's not a bad thing, trust me). If there is something I've learned in the creative business is that in the beginning, if you want to be the ideas guy, you also have to be the creative guy. And I don't just mean writing scripts, or getting amazing ideas, I mean getting your ass to do something practical, because those amazing ideas won't convince anyone to work with you for free. You're no Hitler. It's just a tip, take it cool. ps. If you have experience for which the only proof you have are your words, than that experience is non-existent for us.
Okay I understand. I will stop to offer this community the chance to join. The project already started, We´re working on the first steps together and will still work on it the next years. If someone want to keep a eye on our process just take a look on http://thebatproject.deviantart.com/ Today we uploaded the first two conceptarts. We´re discussing hardly who should be the villian in the movie, cos many people wanna see Joker, but he wont be in the film, cos we already have a script. I gave a hint here before, with the one eye. It´s will be deathstroke. well I´m sure you guys will find a way to contact me, if you change your mindts. So It´s okay by me how it develope here
You really need to get better artists. Everything about those "concept arts" is wonky.
I like these Pictures, knogga. I support your Project. I sent you a message on DE :)
Then I wish you best of luck, and you really will need it, because in all probability this just ain't going to coalesce. I've been on enough amateur "projects" in my younger years to know how often, and easily, these things burn out. I hope the truth that's coming doesn't take too long to arrive, because you will realize it takes more than just asking people to join up on some nebulous blueprint for your dream to succeed. Your partners will look to you for leadership, for direction, and odds are you won't have much. You didn't know how to structure the endeavor, didn't go through any big creative process yourself, so there's no fuel to run on. When your partners figure that out -- and it doesn't take long, month or two at most -- they'll attend to the more solid things in their lives, and disappear from yours. And you'll see what an unfortunate time waster it all was. I don't mean that in a cruel way. It comes from experience. Think what you do.

That wasn't a particularly smart thing to do, i'm not sure who you're trying to fool here but you're only reducing your chances of getting people interested and trusting you. Good luck.

Man up and do it yourself. If you want huge projects to work, you need huge dedication (or at least prove you are capable of going solo). I have almost spent a year on my project and it still isn't done. If you can't do something like that, stick to small projects.
I'm a one-man team and I'm animating a 10-minute video on my own, and even with storyboarding, writing a script and contacting VA's that would fit the characters, I still haven't gotten to the actual animation-part because it takes time to get everything together before that process begins. Not realizing this will be the death of your project in the long run.
