Custom music makes it into SFM but not in the final video.

O.k. I've asked about this twice in other threads and have gotten no reply, so this is what is comes to.
I'm making my first short in SFM and I've got this song I want to use converted into a .wav file and it shows up and works in the editor, so I thought I was done until I exported the movie and all the audio I chose was there except for the custom music, it's just not in the video, but sound effects I have in the background that play under the song are there.
I've tried multiple combinations when it comes to exporting, but for now let's go back to the default settings, I need someone to at least acknowledge this, please!
Does it work if you export just a WAV file and not even bother with video?
Sometimes my renders bork up and I have to export the audio by itself. This is mainly true in cases where I have more than one map being used when exporting.

How would that work? Just put the lone .wav file in a export it as a movie?

Yea just go to Export> Movie and then in the Export Dropdown box select "Audio".
The rest is self explanatory.
From what I understand, the WAV must be no longer than 60 seconds (split it up) and also make sure it's a 16-bit PCM signed, 44.1khz WAV file. Otherwise, I guess you could do what GamingPrower suggested.

Odd, I can import a WAV thats 1:36 +. And it works fine.
