SFM Resource Site - Brainstorm thread - Games

[B][U][I]Edit: So i wrote this thread and did a bit of brainstorming myself on the 26th, and decided to post it now. Without reading the latest forum threads I noticed there is 2 other people doing this. I will work on a design and see if everyone likes it. If the other 2 sites bomb ill continue with my progression.[/I][/U][/B] I am a man that likes to get things done, likes to helps people out and Ive done that my whole life by creating tutorials and utility sites from programming to now SFM. I am not a greedy man, I like to have people with more knowledge and expertise to try and do something before me so when someone suggested a SFM Resource site sort of like Garrysmod Download page I said I would if nobody made it in a month. Well its been a month, and I am ready to take my Web Development skills to the next level and make a Resource site. I listen to people, I like to know the market and what to add before I start, so here is the deal. This is the brainstorm thread, so I need all of you to brainstorm with me on things like site design, site name, and features. Ill brainstorm for about a week, then the design faze takes place. I will keep everyone up to date. I am a fast developer so it should not be too long before the site is open to the public. [B]Design List[/B] - use color scheme of the SFM Tool - add SFM logo into sites logo - Web 2.0 Design -- Not Image Intense -- Ajax for any data gathering or retrieving -- Social (comments, forum, facebook plugin, share buttons) -- HTML5 Strict CSS - Download Categories using icons and name - Downloads will show in 3 columns on the category page with its image, and name. [B]Feature List[/B] - Login through Steam API. - Download Section -- Maps --- Converted Maps --- User Made Maps -- Animations --- Combat Animations --- Couples Animations --- Dancing Animations --- Erotic Animations --- Misc. Animations --- Posing Animations --- Sitting and Lying Anims --- Walking Animations -- Overlays -- Rigs [B]Ideas (Possible or not)[/B] [U]Copy-able animation poses.[/U] The idea is to be able to press a copy button, and have the ability to paste it in the motion editor and have the model do that exact copied pose from the website. [U]Phonetic Text-2-Speech[/U] The idea is you translate your sentence using a phonetic translator (they exist) and then you take that translation and you submit it to a form, and you select the character. The outcome is that character saying that sentence or phrase. Only downside? Character might sound like Microsoft Sam. I already know how I would make it, just too unmotivated really at the moment. [B]Terms of Service[/B] (Just writing this down here for now) [U]Mature Content Guidelines[/U] All uploaded or posted content must be rated as "General", "Moderate", or "Adult". A rating is for everything on the download page, including the item, the item description, and any images or keywords used. Items or content that fall within multiple categories must be rated using the most mature rating applicable. Items or content that fall within the "Banned" category below are not allowed to be uploaded or posted on the SFM Resource Depository under any circumstances. We may remove items or change the ratings of items that we deem to be in the wrong or inappropriate category in our sole discretion. General is anything with no real rating, something like a cereal box for example, unless the box is labeled with nude women, then it would be adult. Moderate is things that are not adult, but still should be hidden in the eyes of a teen, like guns and drugs. Banned stuff include Copyright images as overlays, copyright MoCap Animations, using Copyright branded names for your items name, or using copyright images as your item display image. [U]Copyright Guidelines[/U] All uploaded or posted content must not be copyrighted. If it is copyrighted the only other way is to email the copyright holder with for the permission to use their content for distribution purposes. Examples of this is using the exact models from games like Skyrim and not user made recreations. Copyright holders have the right to contact us at any time if they feel their content has been uploaded without permission. If that happens the user can be banned from the site if the case is serious.

I have experience in running sites with cPanel and coding HTML, plus image design. However, haven't used HTML5

I added a Mature Content Guidelines, which I saw that other thread was talking about for 2 pages. I will add a copyright guidelines in a bit, I just need to word it right.

Gotta keep those guns and and drugs away from those youths. Because SFM and the games used with it have no guns at all, right?

But in all seriousness I have worked in marketing for a few sites where ive had to categorize stuff like this and I felt guns, drugs, and gambling is moderate, even if TF2 is a moderate game nobody said SFM is a moderate tool.
