There is a possibility to export SPORE Creature in 3d editor(be COLLADAEXPORT cheat), and then move to anywhere. Very long time I wanted to move your creatures (at least one) in SFM, but I do not know. But one man export Grox to SFM.

Surly rigging anything built in the spore engine for source would be a nightmare. Especially if you want to have it move like it does in the editor...

If you rig it to Valve Biped it shouldn't be too big of an issue.
Assuming it's bipedal.
Another option is to rig it in Maya, animate it there, then export to DMX.
