Heya, Somehow I managed to corrupt SFM to create weird light(or shadow) artefacts in all maps. Verifying or even redownloading the SFM completely after a reinstall didn't solve the issue depicted in the pictures below. One is close up and the other is distance view of default maps. The artefacts seem to be less obvious ingame but still present. I think it has to do with loading of custom maps as well as messing around with the incomplete deferred light functionality. Original thought was that my compilation of a custom map went wrong or that I messed up the shaders after tinkering around in the platform folder a little bit. Verifying and even a full reinstall didn't solve this. The other weird fact is that it appears on default maps. This makes me think it is somewhere deeper and mainly linked to some cache files/registry entries that a normal uninstall didn't remove? Any kind of help is welcome. Frable P.S. thought maybe it's a glitch in the viewport as the artifacts seemed less apparent in-game. Sadly, they do appear on renders. try launching with -autoconfig
Setting -autoconfig as such didn't bear fruit. Neither in steam nor Shortcut. BUT you had the right idea. After some more console commands spamming to no avail I just deleted the whole cfg folder. On next launch it was fixed. Huge thanks!
