I'm reposting in a new thread because I'm trying to solve this issue as soon as possible (I need to finish this thing in 4 days)
So here's the post:
Hi guys!
I have this stupid idea of making a saxy video starting today. I have 4 days and I need to make it quickly (not sure if I will be able to make it).
I'm having an issue with compiling the map. The map is upward and I just need to remove some crates from the last point. So all I did is decompile the map and remove those crates. When I try to compile the map with "final" settings it crashes! It works with no issue without low and high dynamic range (LDR/HDR) !!!
Is there a way to fix that? I can't manipulate those crates because they are static props so I need to recompile the map with those changes!!
If I'm not wrong it crashes as soon as it starts to calculate ldr with the vvis.exe program! (Is it for LDR???)
The map actually gets created but of course it lacks of LDR and HDR.
Any ideas???
Another thing I might like is too cut the section to be able to speed up loading time and rendering (and maybe import the map to 3ds max)
Is there a easy fast way to do it? With my old "Halloween is not over" I selected every single element of the map I needed, which was really slow and hard. Any other way to do it?
You should probably try to focus on a certain section of the map you need and just get rid of all the other sections or try and load the map in the Source SDK Hammer that ships in TF2 rather than the SFM Hammer and try to compile it there.

Is there any issue with the bsp version in the sfm? Like hdr issues
I actually tried now to compile it with the standard sdk but it's not really going. It's taking too long to compile and I starting to think there's an issue with the decompiled map.
Other tf2 maps on finals compile settings don't take that long. But I'm going to test with hydro now (with full compile).
Anyway are you sure there's no issue with the old bsp version in the sfm?
EDIT: After several minutes the compiling process freezes, not responding and the cpu usage of vrad is at 0% (but still running)
I'm trying to compile sdk_tc_hydro.vmf with the standard sdk hammer with tf2 set as the sdk actual mod (so no modification at all)
The bsp file is at 49 mb instead of 60 mb (the real hydro's bsp) so it looks like it didn't finish the process (probably missing the hdr maps)
Is there any logical reason? I'm running win 7 64 bit btw
Damn I really want to work on the video but i really need to get rid of those stupid crates!!
I need your help guys, can someone try to compile the map for me in case?
edit2: the map is upward not badwaters
Should I move to the map section?
Looks like no one is able to help me here...
Anyway....I verified all data now (sfm). 23 files were re downloaded. Now it doesn't crash but it doesn't even start ldr and hdr compiling process and makes the map... So moreless the same issue
here's the logfile for the source film maker:

and this from the standard sdk with hydro:
