So what is The Great Poster Exchange? It is a Steam Group focused on helping experienced and new SFM users to improve their poster-making skills. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What does this have to do with exchanging?
In the group, one can set up new discussions based upon an idea they have for a poster and another member will create it. Other members can offer criticism as well as make their own interpretation of the OP's (original poster's) idea.
So how does the exchange work?
First: A member will create a thread/discussion revolving around an idea. Second: Another member will create a poster based on the person's idea. They can either link their poster from Imgur or Puush, or they can link from their Steam Community Artwork. That person can add their own sort of flair and change the idea to their own interpretation and liking. Third: Members can then comment on the persons artwork and offer feedback. We encourage in-depth criticism but please be courteous, we will all new to SFM at one time. Four: Members make more posters. (repeat steps 3 and 4 indefinitely)
I want to join, where is this awesome group?
It's right here! I also recommend subscribing to be the be the first to see the newest idea.
Cheers, Kartoffel - Admin of TGPE
Why would people want to make another persons ideas? Why not just make a group where people upload their posters and comment on it? Is the group only for newbies?
you "idea guys" and your clever schemes....
I don't want to crush your dreams or anything but people actually pay very good SFM posers to make their idea because it's shitloads of work but these people are among the best usually except if its for some shitty Sonic or TF2 OC. You really didn't give much info about the group and judging by your own gallery on Steam which is "ok" at best you have no idea what you are doing. You are the definition of an ideas guy right now. Are you planning to change that? Or where you just advertising your Steam Group here because that is actually bannable I think.
Pretty sure Urbunator falls under the category of 'People who are really fucking good at editing they can easily make money off taking commissions to edit their own posters rendered at 40,000 x 30,000 resolution'
