I am starting a small project for my school's film festival, it's about a boy who is trying to get inspiration but can't think of any he then falls asleep under a tree but shortly after he wakes up to a noise which are soe bad guys taking a cage far off. A note then falls that reads "Help me" his adventure then starts there.
Here are some concepts I have made so far.
I am looking for people who can map, model characters with bones and texture.
I know many people probably have other better things to do, I'm just putting this out there if anyone is interested. Also if this film festival has a prize money I tend to share it with my small group.
So you're the "idea" guy then?
We're not doing your homework for you.

Oh yes, animate the project for me why don't you.
Sorry, but you're not going to find somebody willing to create entire maps and models from scratch for an ungarunteed fee. Hell, I couldn't find somebody when I was paying for them. As cliche as it sounds, if you want something done, do it yourself.

Actually found someone last night. I even offered to pay him money for making the maps, said he didn't want pay. Guess the internet aren't just all assholes afterall.

No, these people are as close as you can get to professionals. If you wanted a more positive response then you should have posted an AD here (Such as: Hiring map maker and modeler for x amount of $ per hour) or something like that. Instead it made it seem as if you were looking for free help on a project that is your own personal use.

Professionals aren't snooty or wouldn't bother replying, that's how you can seperate them from the rest.

I said they were as close as you can get. Not exactly professionals.
Edit: I just took a look at your Nice Bots Finish Last, I like it. It looked smooth and great, so I agree with the guy below me. I suppose the issue is is that you would be winning money, which Valve says they do not want done with their SFM. They allow it but only without monetary gain. So I see where you're coming from, but all I'm going to say is expect it from any community.
This again? Oh geez...
Look, I'm rather impressed with your vids, but I think visualizing your concept can already be done without the need to create custom models. Assuming that you're planning of doing your film in SFM.
Yes, there are lots of kind of people out there, but this part of the community just isn't... the ones' you're looking for. (Not saying anybody is a dick tho)
Boy sleeping under tree? You can easily do that with the current SFM assets!

I never said I would use Valve models.

I'm just saying that you would be able to, and it would be much easier (and cost less).

There's an issue like I said with Valve models.
Q. Can I make money with this tool?
Yes, but not if you’re using Valve’s assets in your movie. The tool is free for non-commercial use. You can use Valve’s game assets (things like characters, props, particles, textures, and sounds) to create movies and images to share with the game community, as long as what you create is free. We’re not giving you a license to commercialize our assets. However, if you do not include any of Valve’s assets in the movies and images that you make, then there are no restrictions on what you do with your content and you can make money with it.
This means that since his festival has a prize pool he legally cannot enter it using valve's models and materials.
