When source filmmaker was released on steam, I tried to install it. It installed but when i opened it, all it did was blink the screen and nothing happened. I concluded that my computer sucks, and found out that it had the same specs of a small laptop, even though its a full desktop computer, processor and all... but I'm now having doubts, since it's able to run blender and 3ds max perfectly fine. So is my computer really unfit to run such a software program? these are its specs: OS: windows 7 Processor: AMD E-300 w/ Radeon HD graphics 1.30GHz installed memory RAM: 3.00 GB, 2.60 GB usable system type: 64bit operating system model: p2-1033w manufacturer: HP
Not smoothly, but I bet you could get it to work. Works fine on an AMD 2.6GHz Dual-Core.
Not smoothly, but I bet you could get it to work. Works fine on an AMD 2.6GHz Dual-Core.
whoah hold up... my computer was able to run sfm? but then why couldn't it do that the last time i installed it?
Well, SFM is much more resource-hungry than Blender and 3DS Max, being an always-on "semi-realtime" renderer :) What does it say when you try to run it?
Well, SFM is much more resource-hungry than Blender and 3DS Max, being an always-on "semi-realtime" renderer :) What does it say when you try to run it?
it shows the little window that always shows up when you run a game or program through steam, then when that disappears, the computer screen just blinks and nothing shows up. no error sign, nothing saying that any file is missing, nor saying that my graphics card is incorrect, anything... it just blinks and steam assumes that i used it.
I can use SFM Quite well My specs to give you a rough idea CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 @ 1.86GHz RAM 6.00GB DDR2 Motherboard Dell Inc. 0WG864 (Microprocessor) Graphics 1023MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 430 My friends laptop with Intel HD Graphics can run SFM quite smoothly. Just give it a shot, there is really nothing to lose.
i reinstalled source filmmaker again... still nothing, nothing happens when i press launch and launch source filmmaker. the window doesnt open, no icons on the taskbar, nothing...
Is it in task manager under processes(sfm.exe)?
Is it in task manager under processes(sfm.exe)?
sorry i didn't respond, but yeah, it does. I tried again today, and brought up task manager and it did show sfm.exe. however, it was only there for a couple of seconds and then its gone.
