My first try at SFM, tried to recreate the Halo - Believe trailer. I'd appreciate any feedback!
Looks super lazy
My nostalgia senses are tingling.
Nice slideshow.
i almost cry
The people above have no idea what this trailer is even recreating. This SFM brings back so much nostalgia from that trailer way back in 2007. I liked it. A for you! I'm guessing this taught you a lot about posing the models and therefore I can see why you chose to recreate the trailer. Now you should move onto a fully animated skit. :)

The way that the original trailer presented the scene of Humanity dying and ended with a hopeful scene. All I see in the SFM film are a bunch of grunts dying and a Hero about to save the day. Maybe knorr could add some humanity or personality to the video by making some movements? (This goes against the original video concept, but the original video had a lot more things going on + they used figurines.) The only thing I like about this video is that it shows me knorr gained experience from posing and stuff.
It would've retained the feel of the original if it was recreated with anything but Dota characters, I think. That's not taking into account the fact that, if he did gain experience, it's not evident at all. Everything looks lazy and thrown together quickly. No sense of movement for the characters that are in the air. Not even some fancy DDoF shit. My bitching aside, we all have our firsts. It was pretty swell for a first attempt, but not for a final product.
Dota is not so good choice for... ermn... parody. Better take CS:S, DoA or TF2.
