Okay, I need help with animations. How do i merge two animation files (.bip) to one biped on different parts of the time line? I've made two animations. A kip up animation and a kick, and i tried numerous of ways to combine the two but the end results were all bad.
These are the animations that I've created.

But the end results are awful. They were distorted and screwed up the entire animation, when i try to combine it through layers, and the end results through motion flow are alright but the direction of the kick is off and i do not know how to edit the keys in motion flow or even save the animation sequence.
I think you might be in the wrong forum?

Technically, but I don't really think there's a better place on FP than here.
Some help from someone that has a lot of experience with 3ds max would be awesome, someone like maxofs2d.

What about modelling section? Or an actual 3DS Max forum?

What is 'motion flow'? I've been using Max for years but I haven't heard that expression before.
I do have a fix for you though. It sounds like you need the 'motion mixer'. Basically, you use it to load multiple .bip files onto a new unique layer, then bake the resulting animation down to the actual biped layer. From there, you can fine tune it by playing around with the keyframes.
So get to the mixer by first putting the biped into 'mixer' mode (click the little whisk icon in the biped section of the 'motion' panel). This means that the biped will preview any animation you load into the mixer, before you actually bake it down to the rig.
Click the mixer button to bring up the motion mixer window:

Right-click on the layer and choose new clip, from files, and load you .bip files from there.

You can then arrange each anim on the timeline. Once you've got them how you want, right-click on your 'bip01' in the motion mixer and choose 'compute mixdown'.
Right-click on the the new track that appears, and choose 'copy to biped'.
Close the mixer, un-check the whisk icon, and bob's yer uncle, fanny's yer aunt, Mick's yer Jagger, blah blah blah, it should be playing. You can now go into and mess with the keyframes to make sure the anims blend smoothly.

This is motion flow. I think it might be a new feature added for the later editions of 3ds max (2010-current)
Ahh ok. Yes I've briefly used that. Found it was handy for managing the placement of two seperate anims, or mirroring an existing anim.
But for combining 2 anims I've found the Motion Mixer way more useful.
this youtube channel has some animations.
