This is my first completed project. Using "completed" loosely because if you've seen my posts in the Tech Support thread you'd know i was having some difficulty at the end of the road here. SFM would not allow me to add any more particles, and various other problems. Not too satisfied with how it turned out. I know a lot of my camera work and lighting is crap. The audio effects are trash. The map i chose to use is stupid... and ended up being a big mistake because it's locked by Valve from being decompiled and therefor could not be loaded into hammer. Whatever. It's the project i learned to use SFM on. It is what it is. 100% made within SFM. All animation work done manually within the graph editor. Didn't have IK rigs or phonemes tables or anything like that, so with a lot of the stuff i just had to do the best i could.

The only gripes that I have for this video is like you said: animations seem a bit stiff, the audio and particle effects feel non-existent, and the TF2 environment is a bit too cartoony.
Another thing I would like to add is that most of the dead bots shown in the beginning, whether they were to be used or not, were copy/pasted onto the video. I saw two dead Bee's in ten seconds.
From me honestly, it's a 7.5/10 because well, no one has ever used Transformers in a fully committed SFM video. Plus i'm a total TF nut like that :v:
I really feel that we will need more Transformers characters if you or anyone else will do anymore of these epic SFM videos.

hey... I never said the animation was stiff. :( Truthfully I thought the animation was the highlight of the film. Guess I just suck all around.

Yeah.. that was kinda my motivation for doing this in the first place. A lot of people have done things with these models, whether it be in Gmod or SFM, but most of those that I've seen is people using them to make fun of Transformers. I really wanted to do something that paid homage to the franchise rather than spit on it.

Never said it was terrible. Just thought it seemed stiff in some scenes. Like when Optimus takes out two swords and flairs around like a wind turbine. It's still a great video.

Jesus man. Stop shitting on yourself!
It's not bad. Especially considering it's your first finished project.
Yeah, the animation is stiff at times, but it's fairly fluent at others.
From working without a rig, in the graph editor; it turned out much better than would be expected for such circumstances.
Yah man don't be so hard on yourself! It's not perfect like you said but it's an impressive achievement nonetheless and the most important thing is that you're honest with yourself about your own work. It's good to be self critical but don't go overboard and destroy your own confidence! Keep at it man!
Does anyone know why it's so pixelated and garbage looking if left on the lower resolutions? When i watch all you guys' stuff, it typically doesn't look like that. But with mine, it pretty much has to be set to 720 to look decent at all and even then i still see some pixelation.
Not sure what i did wrong. I followed MaxofS2D's exporting/compressing tutorial exactly. I wanted to do it PalmliX's way, but turned out i don't have all the fancy software required for the extra color correcting and such.
