• Trying to port SFM ready Source models to Maya

I've noticed the SFM community is pretty huge and there's a ton of gaming models to choose from, so I kinda wanted to get involved. I'm not really familiar with Source models or SFM, but I wanted to animate them in Maya anyway. So I used MESA, Crowbar and VTFEdit to get everything over. It was mostly successful, except for one thing. The eyes and eyelashes are typically fucked up. This is non-specific to individual models or the games they come from. It happens in every instance I've attempted and it's only eyes and eyelashes. The eyes are often rotated or slightly out of place and the eyelashes always remain the only black/untextured part of the body for some reason. I'm thinking the eyelashes might have to be designated as an alpha map before being converted over, actually, but that wouldn't fix it if it ends up untextured. As for the eyes, I can't figure out why they're always messed up and it's the one thing stopping a "perfect" port other than rigging and stuff, which can be done manually. Sorry if this is in the wrong section. I wasn't totally sure whether I should put it here or in the modeling section. Any help or explanation as to why this is would be greatly appreciated. Even if it doesn't solve the problem outright, it might give me a lead to figure it out.
