Hello, I'm gonna be sharing a few ways someone can crash your server, and how to fix them.
Method 1: Keypad, pocket, and weld,
In this method a person places 2 keypads next to each other, then they pocket them both and place them back down, then all they have to do is get an autoclicker and rightclick 1 keypad to the other hundreds of time and the server will crash, and prop freezing doesn't fix it.
Fix 1:
1 way to fix this is to add your various keypad addon entity to the pocket blacklist. That is inside of the darkrpmodification addons config folder, another way to fix this is to add a inventory addon and completely remove the pocket, you can remove the pocket tool inside of darkrp modifications disabled defaults.
Method 2: Wiremod
In this method somone can use a Expression 2 to spam a resource intensive commands such as rgb coloring a hologram thousands of time per tick, this won't crash the server, but it will have the effect of a DDoS where everyone will glitch back every second they try and move.
Fix 2:
There are 2 ways to fix this one is simple, just go into prop protection in utilities in the q menu and restrict the Expression 2 tool, but if you want players to have access to it I would recommend adding a OPS limit in the wiremod config such as a 1,000 to 1,500 limit.
Method 3: Stacker
Yes, don't comment I know a lot of people already know about this, this is just for the new server hosters. In this method someone uses the stacker tool to spam 50 to 100 props inside of each other, they then press R-R on their physgun to unfreeze all of them effectively crashing the server.
Fix 3:
This is an easy fix, you can just install a workshop addon called APAnti it will freeze props if the server starts to lag, it also fixes prop surfing, pushing, killing, etc.
The best method for #3 imo is to just disable prop-to-prop collision - it fixes a lot of physics lag and is a fair sacrifice for RP. Also, what keypad addon are you using for #1?
I don't know the addons name, but its the generic keypad addon for fading doors, I know it works on wolven territory, so what ever keypad addon they have. xD
