Ever since watching the Iron Harvest trailer I was enthralled by the World-War industrial looking mechs. Some of you might remember ages back I made one and posted it, but I discontinued the scene after a while, generally losing interest. I picked it back up after thinking about it and wondering if it would be more fun putting the mech in a forest instead of a First World War-esque brown field, that successfully revived my interest in the project and after a while I finished it.
I also made a night version after noticing I gave spotlights to the turret sections. I've never tried a night scene like this so it was fun to learn and try out different things
I also decided to save a black and white version of the night one, after a small mistake ended up looking pretty nice
Comments and Criticism always appreciated, so dig in
Looks amazing
Gigantic cum, looks spectacular
Do think the day one looks better than the night one though
I like those and I dig that night one especially since it was a new setting for you. I feel like in the day one it could be bit less bright in the center. I'm not sure if thats the lighting itself or the atmosphere pass. Still really nice tho imo. Again, nice execution on that night scene.
I came.
Lookin hella good.
Great composition, idea and setup. It's easy to forget how much effort is just put into constructing the thing in the first place. As far as criticism goes, I'd get rid of the door on its face and give it a bit finer details, perhaps stay away from the more obvious HL2 props.
I really like how you put coverings on the legs with exposed wiring. Feels good to look at
Went back in and played around with the atmosphere passes some more. It was a concern pretty much all the way through if the mech was too washed out or not, so thanks for making me realize that
if you do spotlights, make the light cones' edges fuzzier. and for more realistic results you should have two cones, a sharper one inside a fuzzier outer one, and maybe even a third even fuzzier one added to that, like this (crude unrefined example)
That really does look much cleaner imo and honestly when you did that I noticed the smoke coming from the exhaust for the first time.
