Speak for yourself. I'm a free-range boneless Alice.

boneless is an affront to the skeleton people
please be more respectful
We're all boners.

Gay people r scary
Early Jesus Lizard is much more spooky than anything Stevie Albini ever did before or after
God Hates Fags
I dunno, Jordan Minnesota was pretty spooky. I dont really see Jesus Lizard as spooky tbh.
I think Swans takes the cake for spooky music.
So there's this banging going on in my apartment. One day there was also desperate angry screaming with the banging so worried, I check upstairs with my neighbour but the MOMENT I got out of the apartment and into the building stairwell, the noises stopped.
It wasn't the upstairs people either. One has a dog with their neighbour having a baby. Neither was acting spooked or worried so WTF. Apartment = haunted?
I accidentally got the other thread locked, so I'm going to try to bring this one back to life.
Anyways, does anyone remember this manga called Parasyte that was being posted on these threads for a while?

Apparently, there's an anime adaptation of that that I didn't find out about until yesterday. I checked out some clips of it, and it looks pretty good.

the OST for the anime goes extremely hard for absolutely no reason but it is pretty solid
Had a very weird occurrence yesterday.
So I was working on a project for school at 1:00am when, just as I was about to go to bed, I noticed distant croaking noises coming from the courtyard behind the house I live in.
It's a large circular area covered in grass, with a playground in the middle, surrounded by buildings.
I didn't think much of the noise at first, thinking it was maybe some frogs calling, however it didn't make much sense considering that there are no bodies of water anywhere in the vicinity of that courtyard, in or around it.
Then, as I went to bed, I noticed that this croaking noise was not only steadily growing louder, but that it was actively closing in on the building I live in.
As I sat in bed, I audibly heard the noise circle the building at a very high speed (much higher than I'd expect a frog to travel at in any case) until it passed by the window to my bedroom with a deafeningly high volume. It remained there for about a minute, until it decided to move further down the street, off into the distance.
I was pretty weirded out to say the least.
While it doesn't seem to be the case seeing as the noise was moving, the necessary bodies of water can be hard to find because they're small. We have some frogs living near our house in the middle of the city yet nobody seems to know where they actually are, just that we can constantly hear them at night.
I feel like we've run out of good spooky online stuff. We had Slenderman, we had foundonthetape, we had creepypastas. I just feel like we don't have anything "good" anymore. I remember the last thread sort of trailing off because there didn't seem to be any fresh content aside from some individual spooky stories.
It'd be cool to come up with something on the level of Slenderman and have it spread around the internet.
Speaking of fresh stuff, there's the stories this guy has written:
https://www.reddit.com/r/nosleep/comments/8oy1c1/weird_shit_ive_seen_as_a_marine_7/
Though honestly the latest two or so aren't so good. The first couple were quite interesting though.
Yeah, I think another thing is that the current generation of youth is more engaged now with streamers and stuff when it comes to 'scary online thing' so the new creatives that pop up usually only comes in the form of horror fanfiction from something like FNAF, and even then it's usually either badly written when played straight, or satirical if not.
Recently I've been more interested at least in finding small projects from YouTube or online, even if they aren't perfect, but mostly because the concepts they present are interesting. Like Petscop or much more recently CONCLUSE (which turned from fake-PS1 game series of fake playthroughs to an actual free game on Steam after months of building on it).

CONCLUSE on Steam
Thanks for sharing this! I dunno what it is about retro looking games but they make for a great setting for some good creepiness.
I know what you guys mean about it seeming like there is "nothing left" concerning good creepy stuff on the internet. When I first discovered creepypastas years ago I was hooked. Its super tough to find anything good these days so now all I have is a couple sane youtubers who play some indie horror games to fill the void.

Did someone say it's time to shill my experimental startling rigatoni to bolster this freshly calcified thread?
Nerve Ghosts: A former forensic photographer recounts his experiences in the mansion of a reclusive suicide victim deep in the woods of Minnesota during an abnormal FBI investigation.

Somewhere Else: A rich hermit anthologizes the strange anomalies that plague his homestead at the edge of Canada's boreal forest.

I really enjoyed Nerve Ghosts back when someone posted it in a previous thread. glad to see theres more stories in a similar vein about spooky otherworldly stuff in the woods.
I must recommend this site where people (among other things) post and draw their nightmares. Lots of genuinely fucked up stuff and awesome art:

omg thank you for re-posting this, it's been in the back of my mind for ages but I can't remember any specifics or what not about it other than remembering the protagonist turned into some weird monster thing
