Before the previous update with the launching issues and all, I was able to use the highest resolution possible. Now, GMod launches in a really low resolution (as if I'm on a 12 inch monitor), and I can only see the HUD on servers if I'm using the lowest resolution for Widescreen 16:9. It was also randomly bug out and start showing the top left corner on my "entire screen (aka the low resolution). I've tried reinstalling GMod and validating the files..
What is causing this and how do I fix this? I'd really like to be able to see everything.
Attaching screenshots of before bug and currently with the bug below.

Try setting your resolution manually with -w num and -h num in your startup parameters.
That still doesn't work sadly. This last update really messed my GMod up..
Make sure you dont have dxlevel in our start up options.
The last update couldn't have broken this.
Also check your video driver control panel settings for gmod
It did, sadly. It was fine before the previous update.
Have you tried playing in windows no border?
Set your steam launch options to:
-windowed -noborder
might be worth a try :s
Just tried that. Didn't work. :/
So many people out there claiming an update broke their game or server.
I am 99,99% sure the update didnt break your gmod.
But windows did an update a few weeks ago :P
