• Recommendation to make the new decay system easier to manage

I wonder if, in light of the new building and decay system that relies on fueling the TC with specific resources based on the materials that comprise the player's base, if perhaps an implementation of a downgrade system should be introduced to allow players more fine-tuned control over what the resource requirements of their base will be. I assume that there are specific reasons why players can not currently downgrade the parts of their bases to a lower tier material. Previously I was under the impression that this restriction existed to prevent hostile players from wreaking havoc on a base's structure should they somehow manage to authenticate with a tool cabinet. Seeing as how though any player who does manage to authenticate with a tool cabinet could now raid it for all its resources and thus cause the base to start decaying, that original reason seems slightly moot. Overall, I love the new decay system. I realize I might be in the minority on that point, but it's enabled me to have greater control over how long I can go without having to log in to the game to prevent my base from decaying. So I'm very much in favor of it, but it would be nice to have greater control over the material composition of my base.
This is an amazing idea! Even if it was just a temporary option like demoing walls. Then that way you can upgrade some stuff and see what the upkeep will possibly be without being completely stuck/or have to destroy your newly upgraded stuff.
