• When do the Servers wipe?

I am from New Zealand and I was just wondering what time the servers would wipe for me?
Servers generally wipe right after the weekly update is released which is different every week, making it difficult to narrow down an exact time
ok thank you
It doesnt take more than a few minutes as far as I can tell
ok I've been waiting for ages
.... forced wipes only happen the first Thursday of the month.... If your server is a weekly wipe its based on their schedule not FP. Weekly patches hit every Thursday but with out wipe.
What are you talking about? lol Rust has no set time for the update! That they used to have it done arround that time, will not say thats the time you can expect the update ;)
Servers are wiped based on a few factors: When FP forces a wipe (usually the 1st week and 1st Thursday of a month) When a server admin wants to wipe it... Automated processes to force wipes (usually once a week or two) Hopefully this helps. This game is in BETA still. Expect issues, expect unclear instructions, etc...
Dude like who are you, you're kinda posting as if you were a dev or moderator...? Also servers have been wiped do to game breaking shit like the procgen problem last month and the hack back in like February. What can i use to auto wipe my servers, thatd be so useful.
I'm neither... just someone who's dealt with this since Alpha. You can create a script to update your server/map if you have your own server that's not managed externally (think GameServers.com or some other hosting service). It's a CRON job. The procgen was a one off... most are. The every day actions for wipes was my primary focus.
I don't think they need to wipe unless they are doing a map change. I know they normally do but this latest update really makes it unnecessary at least from the performance I am getting.
....you mean legacy.....the games still alpha.
Never played legacy... whatever phase the current iteration is in, Alpha/Beta, things will change and evolve.
