i just bought Rust for Christmas and I am very happy playing with friends on it. I went to bed and woke up with a game ban. I have on idea what could have caused this except that I was using a cheat engine for cookie clicker while playing Rust. If this could get appealed that would be great.

VAC ban is done by Valve / steam, not facepunch / rust.
Just to give more info:
Steam scans your pc to locate your gamefiles, but also scans to detect cheating software. If they find cheat software, does not matter what game it is meant for, you get vac-banned.
