What kind of creatures do you guys want to see creeping around the dungens?
i saw the giant spider from a video on it , it reminded me of skyrim kinda. I hope dungeons turn our similar, with things like puzzles or secret areas. would be super cool.
Yeah, I feel like It might be hard to beat the dungens with all the other players, but i do like the puzzle idea and I hope that they also have some Bosses. Have any ideas on a good Boss/mini-Boss?
Bosses would be really cool. like different special weapon drops from each one. i wonder if they could code it so that each boss has a special attach that you have to dodge or learn, with specific weak spots or weaknesses rather than just attack it till its dead (similar to that of tloz:botw bosses)
Yeah, I think they could do some sick animations for hitting a weak spot too, like having an arm fall off or something of that nature. I also heard about being able to perry and stuff like that with sword combat. What do you think about boss fights with different stages, like having it setup in levels?
yeah, because there definitely needs to be a skill gap so that small players don't get too much op stuff, maybe they will have it so that rooms get harder the deeper you go, preventing people from just grinding a dungeon for 12 minutes and having the best armor and such. im sure what ever petur has planned is good though
I also think the map should be like rust in that there are different levels to it (fresh spawns on one side and more advanced people live on the other side to prevent naked genocides).
Well i feel like a huge issue with that would be that there would be a lot of campers in the smaller zones, and it would actually make it harder for smaller people to get higher up. but i can see what you're saying.
Well the higher level people would probably be tempted to stay in their area with higher loot dungens, other higher level people to fight, and more resources useful to them. While in the lower level areas there would be dungens and such to suit them. So that would help keep the campers away.
I would like to see some lore in this maybe, might add a cool touch to the game idk
@DedBlu Frog Boots?
OK so basically any dungeons and dragons monsters for example:
gnowl
otyugh
ettin
slimes
grells

skeletons
dracoliich
drakes
wyverns
dragons
kobolds
griffons
orcs
goblins
gremlins
demons
and maybe playable races that have their own factions and capitals w/ villages that are enemies to other races and their a neutral towns
dire wolfs and bears
dopplegangers
beholders
mindflayers
bullete
different types of giants like fire, hill, stone and frost
umber hulks
kuo toa
mimics
rust monsters
gelatinous cubes
aboleths
tarrasques
gibbering mouthers
xorn
manticores
minitors

arrowhawks
basilisks
chimeras
bugbears
centaurs
dryads
elementals
golems
ghouls
lizardfolk
ogres
treants
hook horror
leach walkers
deepspawn
serpents
i think that this will give you guys the idea of looking into dungeons and dragons to get your creatures because they have such an amazing variety that you can choose from for your game.
Woah, thats a big list. And yeah I would like to see different types of dungens house different types of monsters and creatures. I would however like to see more bosses not necessarily in dungens but roaming ones like the helecopter (dragon) and bradley from rust.
scorpions
Large scorpions, I like it
Maybe some sort of soul or lost spirit that spouts chants to put a curse on you that maybe the rest of the dungeon a lot more difficult
I think the variety won't be that extensive, its based on RUST, so the limitations still apply.
So far we know of the dragon, the troll, the goblin, skeletons, spiders, etc.
We'll know more soon enough, I'm sure.
something like wendigo in the until dawn
Haven't seen swap type creatures think Swap Thing...
"the crawler" this is a very sneaky creature with very sharp teeth, and it never lets it's pray go away without a fight, the crawler is a slow creature, you can outrun it. but that's a challenge since it can crawl on walls and jump onto you.
sounds horrifying, I love it
Would be nice if as a replacement of radtowns in Rust we get abandoned castles, doungeons, caves, the cemetary from the video, and so on filled with monsters that match the place. For example trolls in caves , spiders and other monsters in doungeons, goblins, ghouls and skeletons in castles, vampires in cemetary .
A skeleton with ancient armor, has high defense and a high attack. Usually found near or the end of a dungeon? (or perhaps a secret area for maybe a specific cave that will be randomy generated for every map, I mean like theres going to be atleast one special dungeon that contains this enemy?)
has a sword and maybe a shield? or no shield, I think only a one-handed sword would look sick af on it
How about some type of dwarf/goblin which you can loot after you kill them.
Could be really hard to stumble upon, but the loot very rewarding.
That sounds like a very common npc if you ask me
Basically. Have a reason to face all the creatures in the dungeon. It can be a a teleporting leprechaun. Maybe you can capture him and bring him to your base. Maybe he grants you 3 wishes which you can use to craft something regardless of level or use for resources.
Your skeleton sounds like a must have dungeon creature.
Lovin the feedback
boglins.
I've played a lot of WoW over the years and one type of mob in particular I've always been found of:
Oozes!

They're kind of a goofy creature type but I've always enjoyed how they incorporate what they've conquered into their aesthetic, with skeletal pieces and armor/weapons floating within them.
