This post is going to be a WIP showcase and a sort of ledger for myself to follow as work goes on...
The project is an application called ConfigGenie.
The purpose of ConfigGenie is to make creating/editing a game's keyboard configuration easier. Easier because it supports many titles from many genres all from the desktop, and the user interface is going to be a major focus of the application's design.
There's a lot more that's gonna be included, like support for other peripheral devices, a robust customization feature, and a bunch of other cool stuff.
As of right now I plan to use C++ with the gtkmm toolkit.
The project is really in its infancy. For the first update, I have the basic premise of the first 2 windows layed out in Photoshop. I plan to crank out the general design of all of the windows within the program first before I get to implementing the code itself.
So here's the first small update...
