Hey guys, I just got a University license for the Intel Fortran Compiler and I already have
Microsoft Visual C++ Express installed.
Now is there any way to "hook" the compiler into Microsoft Visual? That would be nice.
On instal I get
The following components can not be installed:
- Intel(R) Visual Fortran Compiler for applications running on Intel(R) 64
- Integration(s) in Microsoft Visual Studio*
- Integrated Documentation
Installation can continue; however, these components will not be installed because they require that a supported Microsoft* development tools be installed. Refer to the Release Notes for a list of the required Microsoft* development tools.

And that kind of sucks..

Found a solution, I downloaded Silvefrost express, seperately installed the Visual 08 Shell without Silverfrost and then installed the Intel compiler. The only downside is that I have to be in my university network to use the license but I use a VPN so that's working.
I give you 1x Bad Spelling
No.

MinGW/GCC has a Fortran compiler if you want to compile stuff without using your VPN.
No idea how compatible they are though.
The GCC fortran compiler is a bit of a joke compared with intels.

Well, Intel's anything compiler is about the best in the business. Those fuckers know what they are doing.
I wonder if I could link the Intel compiler and Eclipse...
