Hi guys, for my university final year project for my degree I am writing a piece of handwriting recognition software using neural networks. I have almost every element of it set up and ready to be working but what I would really like is some human examples of handwriting. What I would like: If you guys would be kind enough to help me with this project all I would like is a photocopy, photo, or digital drawing of the characters from the ascii table 33-126 (nothing joined up please), whatever you could provide, even a few of these letters would help. I would really appreciate it if some of you are capable of doing this for me, just uploading the photo into this thread. Thanks guys.
I'll do this tomorrow providing I actually remember. [del]Oh, and just to clarify, is that characters ! through to ~ ?[/del]

The above post just answered my question. And smashmaster, nice handwriting.
It takes five minutes to do.
I'm in bed and don't feel like moving.
Here you go: [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/BuUTG.jpg[/thumb]
Yes, aaronds, it is all of those characters. Thanks a bunch to the guys who have shown their handwriting so far. :)

Any colour will do :) my method of processing it means that colour isn't too important, though a white/white-ish background is preferred.
How well did we teach your neural network so far?
I've done one, but my camera's batteries ran out. I'll try to upload it tomorrow.
How well did we teach your neural network so far?
Fairly well, it's also going through 236 fonts so the effect will only really be shown when I've let the network run for a decent amount of time.
I realize this is a week old, but have some bad handwriting: [t]http://i.imgur.com/IcQiM.jpg[/t] And my girlfriend's: [t]http://i.imgur.com/2OV76.jpg[/t]
I didn't know you were ambidextrous, FalseLogic.
Thanks for more handwriting! :D
Will you release it? It sounds like a fun toy/utility. [editline]17th November 2011[/editline] I mean, just give it an image and itll output text
Am I the only one that does their 8 in two strokes?
Am I the only one that does their 8 in two strokes?
Yes [editline]18th November 2011[/editline] Hey everybody, shun the outcast.
Am I the only one that does their 8 in two strokes?
.. Mind me asking, but how?
I assume he tilts the paper sideways, draws small boobs without the nipples and then tilts it back.
I assume he tilts the paper sideways, draws small boobs without the nipples and then tilts it back.
Haha, yeah, it's two circles on top of each other.
I plan on releasing the program when this project is submitted, and most likely the source as well. Don't hold your breath though, it is a final year project so won't be for a while.
Thank you, I needed this for my project as well. Now I just need to look around for handwritten sum and integral symbols.
Hey Overv, what sort of project are you doing? Perhaps we could exchange ideas or something.
Hey Overv, what sort of project are you doing? Perhaps we could exchange ideas or something.
Sorry, I can't give out any details at this point. I'll let you know when I can.
Ah right, that's cool, message me if you want to some time. I've had an idea which involves using cloud computing styles for a massive neural network, getting all of my computers to process a giant network for some complex problem.
this is some pretty interesting stuff. i'm gonna dive into some neural network stuff and write my own handwriting recognition code
