I don't wish to offend, just for people who are programmers to watch this.

Thank you!
someone needs to count the number of times they say "right"...

What about "write"? Because programmers "write" their apps
Well, you learn something new every day. Knowing two programming gurus personally and having witnessed the blunders of Notch I always figured the problem with programmers was they were lazy. :v:
A lot of programmers are lazy and don't like to admit being wrong. This isn't a generalization though, not all programmers are this way.
I am, though. Unfortunately.

Right. 181 times.
Fuck they're dumb and disconnected; they blow this shit up on conceptual scales that don't matter at all. If people want the ability to do something and you can give it to them, just fucking do it if it's not batshit illogical.
There's no constant "element of insecurity". There is nothing to analyze in the aforementioned situations. While part of them were not good practices in the first place, it doesn't mean you need to get meta about it.
It's as if we need an hour long talk about how people who use context menus brought up from a right-click need to be analyzed and discussed as being "more flexible power users".
Who gives a shit?
I'll tell you want the problem with most programmers is: they have their heads so far up their asses that they don't bother to think like everyday normal people.

I feel like that is more of a problem with marketers than it is with programmers. The programmers can make something that technically works fine, but marketers will over analyze how things work and come up with ideas for the programmers to try and implement for the slower users. Generally most programmers are pretty down to earth since they are dealing with the nitty gritty realistic stuff, they tend to not obsess with how gui's look and feel, that is really annoying work.

The best programmers are the lazy ones because they find the simplest ways to do things. Same goes for engineers.
It's kind of like that myth about how NASA spent lots of resources developing a pen to write in zero-gravity while the Russians just used pencils. It's not entirely true, but it illustrates the point very well.

Except lazy programmers never get anything done.

Nah I mean lazy like "I should do X... Nah". Not even the procrastinating kind of lazy. :v:
