Hello there I have never posted in the programming section before so I hope you are a friendly lot like the mapping sub forum. Okay so today I had my first lesson in Computing at collage. Our teacher recommended us to get at least one guide on Visual Studio 2010 and I was wondering if any of you could recommend anything to me? I had a look on Amazon but I have only spent an hour in the program I don't really know what I need. So can anyone point me in the right direction?
I think just spending some time in Visual Studio will be enough, a guide is a bit over the top.
Well we do have a teacher in the class and at home I will have access to the internet (as I will at school) but he said he has 3 or 4 different guides as he understands some things in one and different things in others. So do you not have one I take it? Also who is like the top dog in the programming section just so I know...

Are you sure you need the guide for Visual Studio, or for one of the languages? Like Visual Basic?
Also there isn't really a top dog around here. If anything, the moderators are.
Your prof. shouldn't be focusing so heavily on a specific IDE in a programming class. He should be teaching you how to program.
Okay I will leave that idea on the floor for now untill I have done a fair few lessons then I shall decide, thanks for the help folks.
I hear and I forget, I see and I remember, I do and I learn.
